An Introduction to Mathematical Reasoning Paperback – 28 January 1998

This is an outstanding introduction to proof based (college level) pure math. The author's focus is to help the reader develop real skill systematically. With attention to detail & patience, the reader can master the fundamentals, which will enable him/her to take more advanced math courses (real analysis, abstract algebra, etc).Only con: Quite a lot of typos / misprints. However, these are easy to catch (& fix using annotation tools). A bit annoying, but not really a road block.
