How is the safety rate for this? Do magnets fall out? Should I worry about the younger sibling of the house (1.5--and loves his sister's toys)?

I've had sets of these for about 5 years. Yes, they do occasionally break and the magnets come out. Usually it's after they've been around the block awhile and the plastic starts to get a little loose and scraped and old looking, and then one of the kids throws them one too many times and it hits just the right spot. However, it has only happened to 3 or 4 blocks in a span of 5 years. Yes. it is something to consider, but my youngest three children are 4, 2 and about to be born and I'm on to buy some more for the 2yo's birthday gift, as they occupy the kids for a LONG time. That tells you how big of a problem I think it is. That being said, it for sure depends on your own personal comfort level.

Are these compatible with MAGBLOCK regular 3'' magnetic tiles set? We have their regular set and I see these ones are 2.95'' - does it matter? Thanks

As far as I know, these blocks do work with other magna tiles.
