National Geographic Backyard Guide to the Night Sky, 2nd Edition

Came in great condition and was a perfect gift for a new astronomy lover. Great information and beautiful artwork/photos.

It came with a telescope and lets us learn more!

I bought this book as a gift for my husband. We have big sky here and wanted to be able to identify the stars. After a little research, this book had the best reviews. We have been having fun reading the book and applying it to the night sky.

It has a lot of information about space and the galaxy, but it has very minimal on stars. I would have liked for it to have more information on constellations, though it does have a short section on how to read maps of the sky, which might be useful in the future. Overall, if you’re looking for a book on stargazing, this is not the one for you. But if you want to learn about our planets, the galaxy, and more like that, this book would be a good one. The quality of the book itself is very nice. The pages are colored and have that waxy finish, so the colors are bright and will probably last a long time.

Great book for the novice astronomer! Fun way to decode the night sky

Other than the font is a little small for me, I really enjoyed the content and layout of the book along with graphics and notes on basically every page. Well worth the money if you want to learn more about the night sky. However, larger font would have made it a larger book and not as easy to hold and read.

Nice informative book. The type could be a little larger. I’m still happy with it.

Perfect for those who like learning about space

This is a really good book with excellent illustrations and content. It is highly recommended as a gift for any child interested in space and astronomy, and is particularly suitable for readers at a beginner to intermediate level.

Si le buscamos lo malo pues creo que podrían hacer más grande el libro para usar un tipo de letra más grande. Letra muy pequeña. Pero el contenido que es lo que importa está sensacional, mucha información educativa, datos de interés. Es un buen compañero de viaje o de tiempo libre

Very informative book well presented

Nice as any standard National Geographic product, but given the kind of content the size of the book and fonts could have been larger. Maps are too small to be legible. It could have been a very good book, but if reading is stressed the efficacy of the book is compromised.
