Simple tool that works well and is solidly built.
Simple tool for tightening and cutting cable/zip ties wraps. Why waste time using a sidecutter plier? Quick and simple, tool feels like it's well made.

I thought all zip tie guns were alike.
I honestly thought all ZIP tie guns were alike. I didn’t realize how wrong I could be. This one looked just like one that I had at work and used for many years. It was reliable, easy to adjust, and always cut my cable ties perfectly. This one that I bought looks like the gun that I had, but it doesn’t even come close to my old one. As far as I can tell, this one does not tighten the zip tie, nor does it cut off the end of the tie. It just appears to try to operate, then fail miserably at its job . I tried to take it apart in order to possibly rectify the problem of it not gripping the zip tie and pulling it through as it should, but to no avail. This poorly made rip off was not worth the money that I saved buying it. If you were looking at this , look elsewhere. Pay a little extra for one that actually works.

Cable Tie Gun
Wonderful cable tie gun. It makes cutting zip ties to fit on my wreaths so much easier. It’s great to have this tool in your toolbox. A+++++

Barely adequate, rough operation.
Irresistible price point, I ordered this to fill in a gap while my regular "Ty-Wrap" gun was out on loan. The action felt gritty as if inadequate internal lubrication. Spraying with penetrating oil, silicone spray lube and WD-40 didn't seem to help. It did work, with uneven pulling tension so that some nylon ties were tighter than others. When I got my regular ty-wrap gun back, I took this apart to try to improve it and found the pieces were rough steel stampings, not the smooth sliding parts I expected. At this price point, I just threw it away. It works, but it's not worth my time to put lipstick on this pig by trying to 'fix' the smoothness of the action.
