Sorry I didn't answer right away, message slipped through. Yes these are stackable. I have 24 of them stacked 3 high double wide on shelves in my craft cupboard. They have worked out very well to keep me organized. Hope my answer isn't too late for you.

Will this fit a 12x12 scrapbook album in it?

I know the box holds 12x12 paper. So if the album is truly 12x12 and not to high, it should fit nicely.

No separate handle. It is larger than the dimensions in the description. The dimension they say is 13.6 or something is actually 14-14.2" at the largest part, and the other dimension is slightly larger than 14.2 at the largest part.
