Is the 55 inch desk long enough to hold two 17 inch monitors?

Only if 55 is still more than 34

Can this desk support clamp arms for monitors?

Yes. I have a dual monitor clamped to mine and another clamp on the side for a microphone.

will this fit in a standard dorm room? if you don't know, then do not answer .. simple as that.

It's not big by any means- mine fits in a small office, but it just depends on how much space is available in the dorm
