I bought a size larger than I needed as I wear wide - and returned them for my actual size. The straps around the calves are BADLY designed; the top strap is so big it would fit around my thigh, and I lift weights, kids. I'm not small. I had to unstitch it from the zipper, shorten it, and glue/stitch it back in. If you're not crafty I do not recommend these shoes. The sole under the ball of your foot is VERY flat, making them uncomfortable even for heels. These are very 80's in design - strictly for looks, not for walking. Or standing. But they're pretty and get LOTS of comments. 100% Costume.

I love these shoes! I have been looking for shoes like this for years. I am ideal weight for my height (100-105), and have muscular legs. In the upper proton of the leg, the first two buckles are two loose. That can be fixed by heating a nail, and poking another hole. The need for poking some buckle holes is well worth it. The shoes also come with a packet of replacement jewels.

I love the shoes! They are very comfortable. However, the strap does not have enough holes to tighten the shoe around your leg. It appears to be for someone with really fat legs.
