Question 1

Considering that it comes with only 10 pairs of inserts, where can I buy refills and how much do they cost?

Accepted Answer

Hi Diana, EyeGiene Insta-Warmth also comes in a Refill Box, with 30 Warming Wafer Pairs (a 1 month supply if used once daily), for $29.95. Unfortunately, we have been temporarily out of stock. We anticipate availability on Amazon within the next 2 weeks. We thank you for your interest, and patience.

Question 2

how long will the heat provided by the pad last, and how high the temperature the activated pad can produce?

Accepted Answer

I usually fall asleep with it on but I’d say it’s still slightly warm after about 15 - 20 minutes. But I have no idea how you’d go about measuring the exact temperature. It’s comfortable to have on your closed eyelids.

Question 3

can I use these with my contacts in?

Accepted Answer

No. Because these are warming they will not be good for the contacts and that will not be good for your eyes

Question 4

will the eyegenie help with the burning of your eyes i sometimes wake up with a burning sensation in my eyes and it really bugs me

Accepted Answer

EyeGiene is designed to help with evaporative type of dry eyes, most often associated with glands in the eyelids not functioning normally (called Meibomian Gland Dysfunction). The symptoms of dry eyes include foreign body sensation, dryness, blurred vision, pain, and burning. So, if the burning that you are experiencing is a result of evaporative dry eyes, then EyeGiene is likely to help when used regularly at bedtime.
