Why is it cinnamon-scented? Can the scent be removed?

According to their product page (https://rubbersheetwarehouse.com/products/viton-fkm-fluoroelastomer-black-75a-5-cinnamon-scented), the scent is to help distinguish this product from other products. I bought some recently and it does have a subtle cinnamon scent.

Can this be cut to use as a Diaphram in vacuum pump?

Yes, but depending on the diameter of the diaphragm it might be too thick.

Is the 6x6 in inches or feet?

Would this material be good to replace the rubber flapper on a boat exhaust? It would need to be very heat resistant and capable of retaining shape.

I am using it to replace the gaskets on gas cans so not sure about the heat resistant part.
