I don't understand.  If the kit does not come with a new key, where do you get the new key?

You can purchase the keys separately from other listings on Amazon.  We sell keys on our Amazon web store as well.  If you are wanting to rekey a small lot of locks then we have another kit that may be good for you.  It comes with 4 new keys and enough pins to rekey 8 locks.  If you are rekeying a larger number of locks, the kit in this listing and a separate purchase of keys will probably be best for you.

Does this product come with a precut key? I don’t want to use my existing keys for security purposes.

Hello,

This kit does not come with any keys.  The keys would need to be purchased separately.  We also sell a kit that comes with 4 keys, enough pins to rekey 8 locks, and the tools to do it.
