How big is the packaging itself? I’m traveling and need to make sure it will fit in a suitcase.

I would suggest using a vacuum sealed bag to travel with this. Depending on the size, I purchased a Queen, once opened it's pretty puffy. But to answer your question, it should fit in a suitcase, it's soft enough for stuffing.
