Review: The book is indeed very helpful for those preparing for competitive exams. --> It is well-organized. So, it saves you the extra time you would've spent browsing through countless other NCERT books. This is beneficial for REVISION. --> Contents are thorough, very thorough. There are 38 chapters in this book, of which 11 are ANCIENT, 9 are MEDIEVAL, 13 are MODERN, and 5 are ART & CULTURE. --> I would not recommend it as a replacement to the actual NCERT books, because reading the whole story is essential for clarity. So, use it as a supplement to the standard books. Review: Go for it.
