It's a shame the device doesn't list what the different modes are for on the device itself. Initially I didn't even realise there were 4 different modes to start with (RTFM haha).Other than that it's built as expected and seems to give readings close enough for getting a general feel for how wet the wood is.

A must have for anyone with a log burner lets u no how much moisture is in the logs for ur stove . Saves u worrying if logs aren't dry enough.
