Just not amazing

This book has a variety of Outsider Artists. It would be a very good first starter for those who are just stepping into these amazing self taught artists and their works. Personal favorites are Thornton Dial, Howard Finster, Mose Tolliver and the incredible Purvis Young which are so wonderful that I'm buying more books based on how they were represented in this book. Thank you! This would make a great gifts for any art lover because it's so new, relatable and refreshing!

When I glanced through this book initially when I first received it I was a bit underwhelmed; but after really reading through it I was more than pleasantly surprised. Some absolutely beautiful fold out pages became apparent and other features like details of some of the included artists' work. It covers a lot of ground and possibly some artists don't get as much coverage as others and very little of the artists' works are shown but as an overview and introduction it works very well.
