Phifertex Standard Solids - Lemon Yellow Fabric - by the Yard

I bought a yard of this material to replace the seat material on my 1999 Greenspeed GTO recumbent trike. Took a bit of research to figure out what the material was... it's this. Exactly this. Survived (and actually still going) 20 years in the garage, on the road, in the weather. I'm sewing up a new seat because the old one has damage from rubbing on drivetrain parts and a couple of crashes. I got a grommet kit and the appropriate thread... getting my diy vibe going as the company that makes replacement seats gets about $140 for what is basically less than a yard of this fabric with 18 grommets in it and 4 straight rows of stitching. Not complaining... but I'd rather spend my time than pay them for their labor. Plus I already used the blue to add a racing stripe to my other seat. This is a really good choice for outdoor fabric that you want to not absorb water and just wipes off, yet breathes a bit so your back doesn't get too sweaty.

I use phifertex for tote bags which I make/sew. Works absolutely perfect for what I need.

My dog loves her outdoor bed made of this material. It is perfect; breathable and cool when she is laying on it, rain runs through/dries fast, and she hasn't tried to eat it. . .yet?!The material has held up to daily use for the last 2+ months and shows no wear or tears.
