The instructor is extremely pleasant. Her attitude is so conducive to learning belly dance in an enjoyable and natural way. I find the instructions and drills really clear and easy to understand. I do have a background in classical ballet and other forms of dance, so I've had to "unlearn" dancing with a really immobile waist and trunk, which I didn't think was possible after so many years of muscle memory, but she does a great job of making things easy breezy without the pressure and high speed of other teachers I've encountered. Pleasant, easy to follow instruction...

Very very beginner
I thought this was exercise. It's good to practice and learn basic steps, movements etc. But as intermediate it's a no. Too basic. Hence 4 stars. The teacher is great. So for those completely new to belly dance this is a good start. She teaches the movements. It's up to you to make a dance out of it. Nothin wrong with that. And it's Biladi style. Now that I have wanted to learn.

Would Recommend
I bought this dvd for something fun to do while being stuck at home during Coronavirus. This has been a great activity for me that is fun and my husband has enjoyed watching me practice lol. I would recommend buying this the beginner stuff is pretty easy to follow

Great DVD, poor packaging
The instructor is great, and does a wonderful job of breaking down all of the steps. If you are new to belly dancing, I would take it slow with this, as you are doing movements over and over again that your body may not be used to. I bought this to supplement my online belly dance classes during Covid to get extra workouts in. The packing is awful--3 DVDs on top of each other with no separation. I think they would scratch easily if you don't separate them. I would buy this again.

The DVD has terrible flow
Every five minutes the DVD stops between the next lesson. Then you have to press play agian to move to the next part.

Wonderful fun!
I'm an old lady trying to get rid of my middle! This is a great tape, personable instructor, and fun. She takes it slow while reminding you of the proper posture and to breathe! I haven't had it for long but have really enjoyed so far.

Wish it were easier to access specific tracks
She takes time and repetition to break down movements and muscles used. Useful for beginner, frustrating for intermediate. To get to specific tracks on the DVD, I have to fast forward.

Teaches Belly Dancing
The teacher has a good manner as she takes you through the basics. She helps you to embrace the basics so that you are ready for more complicated routines. The best belly dancing tutorials I have ever come across on DVD.
