These test strips work perfectly and give quick, clear results. I used them to check the hardness of my tap water and my softener system — both readings were accurate and easy to interpret thanks to the color chart. I have a small 18' above-ground salt water pool, and although it came with test strips, they were USELESS. So I was told test strips for salt pools are not accurate, but after reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a try. I had other devices to test my water but I wanted something quick and easy to use to give me a "feel" of where my water readings were. These actually did rather well although there were a few readings off that could have been better but it did help me maintain the levels across the pool a bit easier. Simple dip for a couple seconds and wait a bit for the strips to turn. Match it up with the bottle and run from there. It beats chemicals and lots of tools but same time it doesn't exactly replace those items either for accuracy. Would I buy them again? Yes!

These test strips are great. You get the results very quickly. The color change is very obvious and very easy to use. I would not recommend it to test your salt levels as I don't really get a good reading. It always says it is low. All the other tests come out right. Great value for the money. I would try it out and get your salt levels checked from you salt cell or Pinch a Penny.

This works every time giving an accurate measurement of our hot tub water chemical levels. This includes the free chlorine which we needed to keep an eye on since that can be harsh on the plastic jet components. So far, so good. It is also dated so we know it is still fresh and accurate.

Great results and I tried bottle water. I feel there pretty honest so I will keep using.

With so many positive reviews and getting twice as many strips at about the same price as other brands, I thought I was getting a great deal. I got a "great deal" alright, a great deal of problems! After months of my old strips showing the pool in perfect balance, I used these and it showed the alkalinity being extremely low, the CYA in the normal range, and the Ph pad turned brown which isn't even on the results spectrum. I added 4 pounds of sodium bicarbonate to raise the alkalinity, waited 24 hours, and tested again. Same results. I added another 4 pounds and waited another 24 hours. Same results. I finally took a water sample to Leslie's Pool and they showed the alkalinty being low but the result was adjusted by the computer because my CYA was double the ideal amount, and the Ph was showing on the high side of normal. The sales associate pulled out a vial of the same test strips that I had been using and that showed alkalinity at 180, CYA off the chart, and Ph at 7.8. I finally broke down and bought a real Taylor test kit and got similar results to my old strips. I've had these JNW strips on the shelf for almost a year but they are still well within the expiration date printed on the container. I reached out to JNW for help and, a week later, they still have not replied. Moral of the story: these JNW strips are not only inaccurate, they will show the same results even after significant amounts of chemicals have been added to the pool. I put in 8 pounds of sodium bicarbonate and then had to add a gallon of muriatic acid to get my alkalinity back under control because of the faulty results. I don't know if I got a bad bunch or if they expired prematurely, but they are going into the trash.

These are the best test strips I have used over the six years I have had a pool. As well as testing my water, I have tested the strips by adding measured amounts of chemicals into the pool water and checking the change in results. These strips are very accurate within the parameters stated. Very useful to have the CNA measurement which many strips ignore. The colour differentials are good and the strips are very easy to use. Buy these..!!!!!!!!

Nachdem wir uns einen Pool und ein erstes Starter-Set zur Wasseraufbereitung zugelegt hatten, war klar, dass wir bessere Test-Stäbchen zur Kontrolle der Wasserqualität brauchen. Die im Starter-Set enthaltenen Stäbchen waren nicht wirklich aussagekräftig. Nach einer längeren Suche bin ich dann über diese Teststreifen gestoßen. Alle wichtigen Werte sind dort enthalten und können ganz einfach bestimmt werden. Nach Erhalt wurden diese umgehend getestet. Dose auf, Stäbchen eingetaucht, kurz gewartet und abgelesen. Alles sehr einfach und schnell. Sehr gut finde ich, dass die Skala einen Soll-Bereich anzeigt, indem die Wasserqualität liegen sollte. Die vereinfacht alles und man erhält sofort eine Tendenz. Sollte ein Wert aus dem Ruder laufen erkennt man schnell, welcher dies ist und kann so zeitnah reagieren. Natürlich habe ich am Anfang 3 Stäbchen nacheinander getestet. Ich wollte wissen, ob die Ergebnisse reproduzierbar sind oder jedes Stäbchen einen anderen Wert zeigt. Alle zeigten das gleiche Ergebnis. Ich bin sehr zufrieden und habe nun, für meinen Teil, die Test-Stäbchen meines Vertrauens gefunden.
