Page 65, The Tropical Green Smoothie (see the picture I shared) this consists of mango, pineapple, banana, spinach and water - ONLY. I'm thrilled with this drink! It tastes so good and healthy - the sugar is the fruit. I made a large pitcher of this and poured it in to a (naked green drink container) I am now sipping on this while I do house work and workout. I froze the pineapple and mango before I used it.The beginning of this book contains quite a bit of valuable information explaining the benefits of greens in our diet. The author,Victoria Boutenko, Green Smoothie Revolution: The Radical Leap Towards Natural Health , mentions buying a small pot of wheatgrass and adding that to her smoothies now and then - she mentions that wheatgrass grows quickly. The author mentions she hasn't frozen spinach but if she lived in an area like in a northern country and had a large spinach harvest, she would freeze it. A lot of the smoothie recipes have kale, some have romaine lettuce. I'm interested in trying so many recipes in this book because I like the way she shows fruits that go well together with vegetables. (she has personally tried them first) I'm curious about the recipes calling for gingerroot, I do want to try it. Some recipes call for dandelion greens and Italian parsley - she then tells you what fruits go well with these. I wouldn't have thought to mix coconut with avocado and I really like both of these so I'm curious. Mixing beets with cranberries and dates is an interesting combination, along with the fruits she says go with these ingredients.The back of the book has 2 recipes for Body care: facial cleanser and skin smoothie.An inspiring weight loss story is shared in the back of the book.I got this from the library as an interlibrary loan - I would enjoy having this book in my recipe collection.Jim just showed me an article in an old 1942 Time Magazine from WWII where New York claimed "Meatless Tuesday" I held up my green drink and said, "We can Do That!"
