PROs - This book is PACKED with information, graphs & charts complete with analogies. Explains Alzheimer’s Disease and its many manifestations or ‘types’. Once you understand the ‘mechanics’ of how AD starts & progresses, you’re provided solutions to combat the disease and either slow or halt its progress, and even reverse its damage. Results vary depending on a vast number of variables that are all examined.Cons - this is a serious book with a LOT of information. There are a LOT of footnote numbers provided for further reading - but there are no links to the numbers in the text to any references in the book. THAT is a huge miss! Either provide a source for the information highlighted by a footnote number, or simply remove the reference number. Very poor handling of that issue by the author/editor.While not a problem with the book - understand that you WILL need (at a minimum) a full metabolic blood panel and an A1C number, AND a few more specific blood tests (APOE type & copy) to be able to make a good judgement of where you stand with susceptibility and chances of successful corrective actions with AD. I don’t know if a medical doctor can order and discuss with you an APOE study, or an Amyloid study, or a p-tau study. You might have to seek out a neurologist to discuss whether you have ADHD, or even an early onset that can present itself as a mild cognitive disorder. A geneticist may be required for the APOE results. This book may provide more questions than answers regarding AD - BUT the corrective actions of the Keto12/3 diet plan and a better understanding of our current food quality in the U.S. may result in a better and healthier lifestyle for you. Good luck to everyone drawn to this book - your life is about to change - for the better with knowledge and ability to remove the stigma that is Alzheimer’s.

This is an excellent book which has resulted in many successful results in pulling people back from Alzheimer's.If you know anyone getting or who has gotten this disease, get this book and read it so you can recommend it.If you look up Dr. Bresnan's credentials, you will be convinced that he knows what he is doing.

Read “Unforgettable’s” succinct review! If you already have cognitive decline, there is no way you could understand this. For someone without medical knowledge, this book is nearly impossible. My husband and I are both retired healthcare professionals, and he is board certified in diabetes education in management, and HE had a hard time getting through this strangely edited book. We have the hardback, Kindle, and audible versions in hopes that we can hear/understand what we can’t decipher in print versions. No luck.I just don’t see any way the average Joe could implement this without intensive management… and with healthcare being controlled by firms requiring practitioners to see six patients an hour, good luck in finding help! You might find a private practitioner who charges a fortune to help you, but do NOT count on insurance paying for any of this. The sad part is that those who can afford to follow this protocol have already been privileged to live a healthier lifestyle. The bulk of people needing this, cannot even afford the book, let alone paying out of pocket for support/translation of the program.

Fantastic book! I started following the diet and exercising during the two weeks I’ve spent reading the book, and I already notice improvement in mental alertness.

When your family member is diagnosed and you need to know where to start this book is a great place. I have learned so much with reading it. It has helped me understand more of the whys and maybe how to help prevent it from happening to me. This book is for the people looking for solutions and help not just a bandaid for the situation.This is a must read if someone in your family has been diagnosed.

Don't buy this unless you are willing to invest time and money to save your own life. Dr. Bredesen has spent 30 years studying Alzheimer's and cognitive decline and has developed this program that works to prevent Alzheimer's, improve even advanced cases, and restore the memory of those with early cognitive decline. It's complicated. He and his team provide comprehensive details of the things that damage our brains, from low nutrition, to toxins, pathogens, viruses, leaky gut, mold exposure and on and on. His program starts with finding out if you have the genetic marker for Alzheimer's (the program is different or those that do and those that don't), and testing, testing, testing for the other things. And once you start the lifestyle program, diet, exercise, sleep, you monitor and track changes and progress and make adjustments accordingly, in that way personalizing the program. The book is well written, easy to follow, and based on 30 years of research. There will never be a pill for Alzheimer's because there are many causes and you have to address all of them. This book is all about how to do that. No one else has done the level of research that Dr. Bredesen has.
