Can.you buy replacement blades

no. the blades are built into the mechanical mechanism but last long time. when sharpening take out pencil and check if done otherwise you will keep turning and it will eat away the whole pencil.

I am thinking of purchasing these sharpeners but I have read so many bad reviews are they that bad of a sharpner

I cannot remember purchasing these metal sharpeners.
