Pyrex Basics 3 QT Glass Baking Dish With Plastic Lid, Casserole Dish

I have a few different sixes of these including the 8-piece set here (the one which comes with two small 1-cups, a square baking dish, and an oval baking dish, all with lids.) I absolutely love the Pyrex Easy Grab lineup; I use these everyday and recommend them to almost anyone. I bought my first set of these (before they were named Easy Grab) around what I would guess to be 15 years ago***. Two of them I have used daily and after thousands of cold-hot-bake-wash cycles, they still perform as well as the day I purchased them (and the lids still fit pretty tightly.) I will admit up-front that I am biased here because I strongly prefer strengthened glass materials for my kitchen. My top preference is borosilicate glass, but I find tempered glass such as the Pyrex Easy Grab line to also perform very well for my needs. The performance of the Pyrex Easy Grab, combined with the excellent value, is why I really like these. As a glass, it does not alter flavors. As a tempered glass, it's durable and capable of withstanding high-heat cooking/baking/cleaning. And as a set with a silicone lid, it works well with liquids. I also like the flexibility in available sizing & lids. Pyrex offers their Easy Grab line in practically any size you can dream up, and in 3 common shapes (circle, rectangle, and square.) So it's easy to find the sizes that work for you. As another plus, Pyrex offers a few different lid configurations, including one designed for liquids when on-the-go. The flexibility of Pyrex's lineup also is something I really like. If you need to bake, these Easy Grabs work very well (without the lids). If you need to microwave, these get the job done. When they are dirty, you can throw these in the dishwasher, wash on a high heat setting, and you're good to go. I might throw leftovers in the microwave or maybe the oven...having containers that can withstand whatever method I choose is a big convenience for me. So how can I not like these? They are versatile, convenient, and very reasonably priced given the quality product you are getting. . . . ===SIDE NOTE -- BOROSILICATE GLASS and the "EXPLODING PYREX"=== ***The Pyrex products I have which are around 15 years old were produced by a different manufacturer, using a different type of glass, than the Pyrex products currently available today. It may be worth noting that modern home-use Pyrex containers are NOT currently made from borosilicate glass. Up until around 2000, it was borosilicate, but it is now a tempered silica glass made by a different company. (Still, I find that Pyrex's Easy Grab lineup has great performance, but I figured I would note this as it initially caused me a lot of confusion.) That can raise interests in regards to the differences between the older borosilicate and the current soda lime silica glass. More-or-less, borosilicate glass is more heat-resistant and can better handle drastic temperature fluctuations, where as soda lime silica glass tends to be slightly more resistant to damage from shock. Borosilicate is also more expensive to produce, and the price of most borosilicate products reflects the higher materials & production costs (ex: Chef's Plant which makes outstanding borosilicate products, but ones that are certainly not cheap.) There have been some incidents of catastrophic failures of soda lime silica glass products made by Pyrex & Anchor, where as this is seemingly much less common with borosilicate products. Investigation on this topic found that the so-called "exploding Pyrex" was observed mainly with the newer soda lime silica glass. I do find that both borosilicate and soda lime silica glass products generally perform very well and I do not hesitate to use either for baking. But I am a little more cautious with the silica glass products when it comes to exposing the containers to more extreme temperature shock (the product literature included discusses this.) By using a silica glass, the Pyrex Easy Grab offers an incredible value to consumers and a product that performs very well. However, if your usage is going to be frequently exposing these containers to DRASTIC fluctuations in temp in a super-short time period, it may be worth considering borosilicate products for those applications (the downside being the price will most likely be higher.)

Pyrex pan and bowl set. These are what you expect, glass pans with plastic lids. I am not a super fan of the lids, but it's good to have them if you need one. The other thing is - the handles - I have a love/hate thing going on with those. They are so handy when you need to carry them, take them in and out of the oven - the bummer, is trying to tote them around - in a cooler, or other. The handles just get in the way! Over all, I like a good quality glass pan. They wash well in the dishwasher. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. It's a shame because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,000 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 25,000 likes. Bottom line, I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

These are holding up well after many uses. Love the lids, makes them perfect for things that don't need refrigeration. Pyrex is still the best.

Title: Highly Recommend - Excellent Quality and Versatility! I recently purchased these dishes, and they have quickly become my favorites for cooking. Here's a breakdown of my experience: Ease of Cleaning: Cleaning these dishes is a breeze. The non-stick surface ensures that food doesn't cling, making cleanup quick and effortless. Performance: They perform exceptionally well in the oven. I've used them for various dishes, from baking chicken to making lasagna, and they have consistently delivered great results. Lid: The lid is fantastic and allows for easy transition from the oven to the fridge. It fits securely, keeping food fresh and preventing any spills. Appearance: These dishes look great. Their sleek design and quality finish make them a stylish addition to my kitchen. *Stackability: I have a small kitchen, and the stackability of these dishes is a huge plus. I can easily stack all three together, saving valuable cabinet space. Leakage: I've had no issues with leakage. The dishes have a good depth, which helps contain all types of dishes without any spills. Overall, I highly recommend these dishes. They offer excellent quality at a very good price. If you're looking for versatile, reliable, and stylish cookware, these are a fantastic choice!

THE BEST EVER!!! My use is for food and I interchange the two when one becomes dirty, I use the other one, and then I place the dirty one in the dishwasher to be cleaned. THE OTHER GREAT FACTOR IS I DO NOT USE ANY PLASTIC THAT GETS THROWN INTO THE GROUND!!!

I’ve used these to make casserole dishes and baked goods. I like that the kids are flat so they’re space saving in the fridge or on the counter. You can stack on top of them easily. I find the handles a little wide on them so they take up extra room in that area. The lids are also a very tight fit so you’ve got to put them on just right and use some pushing to get them to click. But it’s a good seal and keeps food fresh longer than just cling wrap that I was using before. I would not recommend putting the lids in the dishwasher because if they warp they’ll never fit again. I wipe and wash them by hand easily. The glass dishes I either wipe out or wash in the dishwasher. They clean easily in the dishwasher. I’ve put hot foods in them and also cold, taken them from a cold refrigerator to the oven and never had them shatter yet. This is a good starter dish set. It would be perfect if it also had a lid pan with lid. I’d be willing to pay more for the set with it. I found these two sizes usable though for dishes like baked oatmeal and breakfast breads, chicken thighs and other baked meats etc. The small round dishes are also being used. I thought they would be a waste and too small but I’ve used them more than expected. We eat salads with grilled chicken bites and I can fit a full cup of chicken squares in one of these which is a few salads.

I love these Pyrex dishes! I've been using mine for almost a year now and they are still in great condition and work so well. Very durable. Very convenient to have the lids. For example, the day before Halloween I made two lasagnas, put the lid on them and was able to easily store it, next day I took the lid out, covered it with foil and stuck it in the oven. Super convenient. They bake very evenly too, it's a Pyrex so can't expect anything but the best from them! I also love the size of it, it makes a nice size lasagna in there for a family. Absolutely love it

I love Pyrex. It's a better quality glass than most of the bake and food storage wear out there. I got two of this particular small loaf pan. One I use for making baked goods. It works excellent for everything I've baked in it. It's really great for storing ice cream too. Keeps it cold and fresh. The other pan I bought for my cats as their water bowl. I can trust it's quality. I am happy knowing they are drinking out of something safe, that won't leach anything into their water with constant use. Some cheaper glass can contain lead and other toxins, as can stainless steel (most pet food bowls are cheaply made and can make your pets sick with long term use.) The shape is great, it doesn't bother their whiskers. It holds enough water for all 3 of my cats for the entire day. The handles are great for picking it up and setting it down from the floor. I wash and refill it daily for them. They are happy with it too.

Prácticos, resistentes, útiles en la cocina y tamaño perfecto.

strong quality glass. dropped one of the smaller circle pieces almost as soon as i got it and it survived. cooks great in the oven. love the handles and lid design.

I’m using it very often for quite some time now. It is versatile, easy to clean, the lid closes very well, dishwasher safe. Highly recommended.

Love the product. Fast delivery. Happy with the purchase. Recommend.

Everything arrived on perfect condition and the price was excellent. The plastic covers are very useful. Thanks.
