Dune: Imperium - Uprising

I love this game so, so, so, so much! I don’t doubt I could go on for hours about the gameplay, the set-up, this and that and there and who? But I’ll keep it short. This game takes a while to play (which I love), the solo mode is one of the absolute best I have ever played, the theme is just like the books (intrigue, deception, nail-biting moments, etc), the replay value (even solo) is super good, multiplayer might be good (but I haven’t tried it yet), expansions exist (yay!), need I say more? Bye!

This game is by far one of my favorites, all my friends love it and although it can be confusing at first once we all knew how and what to do the replay ability of it is awesome. Would recommend

Excellent game for 3 players.

Not too much to say really. Mine arrived in perfect sealed condition with all contents. There’s better places to find reviews on the game itself, but if you liked the first game then this is a no brainer. I wouldn’t blind buy recommend any game. I wouldn’t say this game is hard to grasp, but there’s a learning curve to understanding the ins and outs of the strategy.

This is the best board game ever made for a group of 4. Paul Dennen and his team of designers (you too Justin!!) are geniuses, and this game and all the other Dune games that Direwolf makes are absolute masterpieces.

I'm never going to argue with a person who loves this one over the original Dune Imperium, but there's something about it that keeps me wanting to go back to the original. It feels a little overwhelming at times, which likely appeals to many core board game players. But the original was so approachable and the ease of play was what made me fall in love with it. I would give the original 5 stars, and this just a notch down due to preference. It's possible that it will grow with me over time, but the original is so much easier to teach people and so much more straightforward, that for now that's my preference. YMMV!

One of the best board game out there if you love strategy and deck-building. Uprising adds even more depth and tension to the base game without overcomplicating things. Every decision feels meaningful, and the new mechanics keep each play fresh and competitive. If you’re into strategic games, this one’s a must-have.

This is a great board game that does a superb job keeping up with the lore of Dune and cranks up the chaos. If you have the original there is still added benefit to upgrading to this expansion. The sandworms are massive and hungry. Each conflict feels like and MMA fight on Arrakis. The them is great, the tension tense, and the game is accessible to the most power hungry diplomat who strategies away, to my young son of 8 who is like let me get that spice and anyone in my way feels destruction

Escelente jogo

Ottimo gioco, lo avevo preso di mira fin dal primo annuncio. Molto complesso, è vero, però è davvero completo e variabile. Nessuna partita è mai uguale all'altra. Questa versione è in inglese ma prossimamente verrà anche tradotto, tuttavia si parla di un inglese molto semplice che non costituisce una barriera linguistica. La qualità delle pedine e delle carte è molto buona.

We played Dune: Imperium – Uprising with four people and really enjoyed it. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it is worth taking the time to get familiar with the rules. I particularly like the combination of deck-building and worker placement. There are different ways to approach the game, balancing military strength with political influence, and plenty of decisions to make about how to use your cards and resources. The sandworm battles are a highlight for me. They make the conflicts more exciting and can really change the outcome, which adds to the tension when everyone is competing for rewards. The variety is another strong point. The different leaders, cards and possible strategies give it plenty of replayability, so it doesn’t feel like you are following the same approach each time. I also liked the quality of the components, particularly the cards, artwork and sandworm pieces, which help bring the Dune setting to life. This is a standalone game, so you don’t need the original Dune: Imperium to play. It also includes solo play and a separate six-player team mode, although we have played with four. Pros: - Enjoyable with four players - Exciting sandworm battles - Good combination of deck-building and worker placement - Different leaders, cards and strategies add replayability - Good-quality components and appealing artwork - Standalone game with additional solo and six-player options Cons: - None for me, although it takes some time to learn A very enjoyable strategy game with plenty of variety. The sandworm conflict elements are interesting, but the different ways to play make it a game I’m happy to return to.
