I was in the Hospital in 2017 due to having a Arteriovenous fistula of the spinal cord which left me paralyzed from the waist down. Life sure does change after something like that happening to you, well anyway it's been a year and I the McKesson Male Urinal 32oz is one of the urinals I have been using since getting out of the hospital. They are identical to the ones at UT Southwestern in Dallas as well as the Hospital were I live. These are your basic Male Urinals for daily use and for travailing. They are sturdier then other urinals I have tried but there are better ones out there. I use these often because they are very cheap and they ship very fast which is convenient to me.They last about a month from my experience before needing to be replaced. If you have a UTI then you can cut that down to two weeks. Basically you need to rinse them with soapy water with a cap of bleach twice a day or more. That helps control the odor and build up of bacteria. I let mine soak for 2 hours after I rinse them and being able to order 6 at a time for under $7 is a great deal. Take care of them and they will last 4 weeks, that's the longest I ever kept using one before throwing away. If you are looking for something that you can replace often then these are what your looking for.ProsMade of durable material (last about a month if taken care of)The cap is strapped to the handle so you can easily close after use but be careful because the strap can broke if twisted too hardVery easy to clean mostlyValue for the price it's offered atConsThey tend to dent very easily if dropped if filledThey cap will not keep urine from leaking if tipped overThere is a little spot in the handle were urine is difficult to rinse outThey tip over very easily when not filled so lay them on the side until there is enough urine inside to keep it from tipping over. Personally I empty mine every 2 hours so it rarely gets full.

Just got out if the VA ICU due to the FLU that swept the country recently. I have COPD and it has put me on Oxygen for the first time. Anywayyyyy, I brought my urine bottle home cause I knew wouldn't want to get up and go tothe bath room each time I had to go to the bathroom 3 or 4 times a night like I sometimes do. But having just one bottle made me wish I had more. Seeing how much they cost, generally, I was delighted to come across a deal for 6 for less than 7 bucks. Ordered them on March 6It said they'd be delivered March 15-16.WRONG !!! They came today March 8. They are not high grade plastic but they are sturdy, the cap works good and stays on and can be easily reattached if it comes off and I have had no leaks. They are also identical, down to last detail, to the bottle I brought home from the VA. I am 100% satisfied!!!.People who complain that they are "cheap" after spending less than 7.00 for a box of six should invest in a more expensive brand of bottle to pee in and not discourage others from at least trying this brand out for themselves.It'll probably be a while, but if and when I need 6 more, I know exactly where to get them.😊

I'll compare these urinals with the typical one's I have had. I'll start with five stars:CONS:The handle has a tiny opening into the bottle part and urine gets into it and is hard to get out and rinse. The previous urinals had a large opening between them, and posed no problem. Deduct two stars.The lid only lightly snaps onto the bottle part, so it is easy for it to unsnap, and it leaks quite a bit, even when snapped into place. The other ones also had this problem, too. So, I'll deduct one star (on all urinals I tried, too). (Too bad Tupperware doesn't make urinals)The lid is loosely attached to the handle and it slides off easily when I open the lid. I got around this problem by placing a thick rubber band on the handle to prevent this, which is an easy fix. Therefore, I won't remove a star.PROS:Thicker plastic - All four of my previous urinals began leaking after about 4 or 5 weeks. They had noticeably thinner plastic and was much more flexible. Although I have had these new ones for only about two weeks, I'm convinced that they will last a lot longer before leaking, if at all. I'll add one star.The lid strap has a much stronger attachment to the handle than most, so I expect it to not break after a couple of weeks like it does on the other urinals. It uses a different method of attachment than the others and keeps the lid aligned, so the correct side is always facing down to snap onto the bottle. I therefore don't have to fiddle with it like on the other urinals. I'll add one star.The price is fantastic at $1.72 each (current price), compared to $4.20 and up for the other urinals at Amazon.com. Although they are not Amazon Prime, the shipping is free and arrived in less than a week. I'll add a star.The base of the bottle is flared out at the bottom of the handle side. This makes it quite stable on a flat surface, even when empty. My other urinals did not have this, and the weight of the handle made them very easy to turn over. Therefore, I will not be deducting a star like I did on the other urinals.So from the 5-star starting reference point, I deducted three stars and added three stars. Therefore I rate this urinal with five stars.UPDATE: I remove one star because the lids do not stay closed very well. The slightest vibration or handling causes the lids to pop off. Often there is no "snap" when you close the lid, and the slight springiness of the umbilical cord is often enough tension to pop the lid open. So, I only give is 4 stars now. I still plan on ordering more, should I need to. The price is great.

I have been using a two of these for a couple of weeks. Occasionally this type of urinal will leak at the molding seam. The two I have been using have not leaked yet.These are identical with those sold by pharmacies for up to $10 US locally. I am at a total loss as to the greed of companies gouging the sick and elderly for medical supplies. And theirs are still made in China, too. Thanks to What a Deals for importing and selling a quality product at a fair price.

I saw a few negative reviews and almost decided not to buy the item. I have been burnt before when the price is too good to be true. In this case , the negative where all wrong. Of course, these urinals where seconds. What where you expecting for such a ridiculous low price. They where dimples on the the lower half of the unit but not one leaked. Great product. Great price. This review will explain why many people are happy with the urinals, but others gave them a one-star rating.I have had one of these McKesson urinals for years, and it has held up very well. However, the urinals I just received are clearly DEFECTIVE SECONDS (which explains why they are so cheap). When McKesson made them, the inner and outer molds weren't aligned properly, and the bottom corners came out too thin, so thin that they can be expected to break. In fact, you can push the bottom corners in with your finger. As a urinal is used over time, minerals build up inside it. The minerals themselves might be enough to make these urinals break at the corners. Washing out the urinal with a brush would probably make the corners break.Obviously, some buyers received urinals that already had broken corners, while other customers didn't. Those customers who got urinals that didn't will be happy with them because, overall, they appear to be well made. However, a break at a corner could happen at any time; and when it does, you will end up with urine in your bed or on your night stand or floor.If you decide to use these urinals, you should put each one in its own bowl to catch any leaks. In order to urinate into it, you must take it into your bed. That being the case, you should keep a plastic baggie over the bottom to catch any urine if it starts to leak while you are using it.In my opinion, these urinals are good for nothing but plastic scrap to be recycled (which is what I have done with them). Please note that the seller gave me a refund without my having to return them. The seller claims that they didn't know that they were defective, but I find that improbable.It pays to remember that if the price is too good to be true, you are getting a poorly made or defective item. I should have known that, but I was fooled by all the good reviews. The least you can expect to pay for a good urinal is around $5.00, in my estimation. (Having said that, I ended up buying two Yungatart urinals from Amazon for a little over $6 [for both], and they are very well constructed, with solid, hard corners.)One more thing: When a plastic urinal has reached the end of its life, you can recycle it, but only if you scrub out the minerals first; and you probably won't be able to do that unless you cut the urinal open. Recycling a urinal that is yellow and lined with minerals could ruin a substantial amount of plastic at the recycling plant. The urinal should be clean enough to appear almost new before you recycle it.

THE BAD NEWS IS: This is very thin skin (could puncture without too much effort, but ok if use cautiously) and the lid is very flimsy in the manner it is attached and can be pulled off (i.e. away from the bottle) easily; good news is that it can be reinserted by the little lip on holder that your force through the holder hole (by bending the flaps of the holder line tip to insert and then hope the thin, small plastic will fold back open to restrain (slightly) pulling it back out again (has happened with mine many times when washing it up and turn lid to wash underside of lid, and it pulls off. None have leaked, but I am very cautious about how and where I set it when containing liquid and when emptying it, to avoid any spill, fall over, rupture or cap come loose situations. I have seen others which are more industrial strength, for those that don't want to be very MINDFUL of how you use/handle them.THE GOOD NEWS IS. ....It's amazingly cheap, it is the cheapest I have ever seen. So, it is "adequate and works with a little care in how you use it" for the cheap price. If you are going to pack it and/or travel with it or want something solid and durable, you have to spend more money. This is least durable at lowest price; as I cecal it was a pkg of 6 or 8 for just $8 or $9 ... cheap, cheap, cheap! (Multiples allows keeping in different spots for convenience (multi cars, and by bed, etc).

Oh my goodness! Finally a urinal made the way all of them should be made! These are super durable and NO urine goes into the handle (which is the downfall of every other brand I've tried because they're hard to clean). These are the absolute best urinals hands down! I don't know how I discovered them because I thought they were the ones from my previous order so THANK YOU for making my life a little easier to care for my male loved ones.
