Once lifted the mattress and upper section of the bed will hold in place enabling you to access the storage with both hands. The hydraulic arms are capable of supporting up to 65kg so even heavier mattresses can be lifted with ease. The base is mounted on sliding feet which not only look attractive they are extremely hard wearing.
