Underneath it features two small storage containers with enough space for the hand carved chess pieces that are also included in the set.
- The items were handcrafted by artisans from Sousse, the center of Tunisian olive wood manufacturing.
- The olive wood is untreated and free from chemicals. Therefore, loose parts of the bark rim may detach from the board. This is no flaw but a normal occurrence for this natural article that does not affect its functionality.
