I've had a clear skin more or less with one or two pimples in few months. So last month before an important event, there emerged a giant one so I ordered this spot treatment thinking it would reduce it, and as it claims it did. Though right after the event I had two more pimples which had emerged around the similar area, so I reapplied this salicylic formula. But God, in no way I could've imagined what happened next, I had my cheeks covered with red spots all over and a few more pimples around it. Well, it was a nightmare for someone who has never faced such breakout. So, after some research I found out that salicylic acid minimizes inflammation of that area as it goes inside your skin to clean your oil cells. But for skins who have never used this acid before, it reacts to it in the form of skin purging, i.e., breakouts all over for the first 4-6 weeks before you start seeing results, as you'll apply it on a few spots at once but the newer ones will keep emerging right after that till it clears all the oily pores of your skin. So long story short, if you have an oily acne pro skin you may go for it because it might do well for your skin in long term but if you're someone with normal skin who haven't used salicylic acid before and think this product along with many others in the market is merely for spot treatment, trust me it's not, so if you do not wish to go through the painful cycle of skin purging just skip it, as they'll rather heal on their own.
