Can you actually feel or see a texture on this paper?

It doesn't feel textured. It looks great on my kitchen cupboards and is super easy to work with. People actually think we replaced the cupboards! I highly recommend this product!

Can I use this for my kitchen cabinets and drawers?

I'm not sure how it would wear with daily use, but you sure could try it. Be sure to clean the surface well to remove any grease, etc. Even dust can impair how well it sticks. I used mine to cover a file cabinet and am delighted with how it turned out. Good luck to you.

Would a butcher block countertop show through this? Thank you.

The seams may show a little, but with the wood grain texture , they probably would only be noticed really up close. You would not be able to cut on this though.
