Hi, is this ok for shotblasting a bike frame, do you need an air compressor for it? Thanks

Hi, you do need an air compressor afraid to say. It might be worth checking out local trading estates. They normally have a blaster business tucked away. Hope it helps. It would work well if you had a compressor.

Is this ok to take varnish / paint layer from timber beams?

No. You can use sand paper starting with 60grit up to 180grit

Would this remove rust from the underside of a car ?

DO NOT USE ORDINARY SAND!! It contains a lot of crystalline silica, which is known to cause silicosis of the lungs - which is potentially fatal. It is therefore very dangerous to use ordinary sand with a sand blaster.

Would this be any good to take paint of a old k6 phone box

Hi, Yes this should be ok. You could use something like the grit with the unit – Model Number; B/25KG.
