It works (unlike others). Automatic driver install (unlike others).
I now have three of these. Two of them are on my home array and one is at work. This is a 1080p HDMI adapter, which can work alone, alongside a Thunderbolt hub, or with a powered USB port extender to further extend a computer's monitor capacity. Things I like about this product: 1. It just works. The drivers install automatically. This one doesn't advertise itself as using DisplayLink drivers, but whichever drivers is uses don't require finicky manual installation, and unlike another one that I purchased, trying to get a working additional adapter at a lower price, this one actually works. 2. It supports up to 1080p resolution. I'm using it to add an old 1K TV and a ViewSonic monitor (both 22") to my monitor array. The most recent purchase brought my array up to 12 screens, which I use for software development and console management in my cloud architect role at work. 3. Even with some of my other video adapters got flaky, these just worked. 4. It didn't break the budget. 5. My oldest of this device has been in service for 5 years without any issues. To me, this indicates a reliable product. Things I dislike (not really): a. The only thing I found challenging about this product until I learned to work around it is that it gets warm (not hot, just warm), and it consumes available USB power from the USB hub it's connected to. There is a workaround to this though if you find that it draws too much power and one or more of your devices isn't recognized. Just purchase a powered USB hub to expand your available ports without relying on the workstation or dock's power. Caveats: - This review does not guarantee that you will be able to drive 12 or more monitors from your laptop or workstation. - My workstation has 64GB RAM and a video card with 6GB RAM. It's an older workstation with an older Thunderbolt hub (which doesn't work as well with my newer workstation). - I power the workstation, the powered USB port extender, and the Thunderbolt hub separately. - As mentioned previously, I can't run all 12 of the monitors on this array simultaneously when using my newer, more powerful workstation, so results may vary. - There are other products available that advertise dual monitor support via DisplayLink drivers, and some of them offer up to 4K resolution. This one is 1080p. - I'm not using this monitor array for gaming. If that's your objective, I can't say whether it will keep up with your requirements.

Works with older computer.
My wife has an old hp envy all in one desktop computer that for some reason has an hdmi in but not one going out. Tried a couple other adapters on here with nothing but wasted time trying to get drivers installed, uninstalled, turn off this/that, etc. Well, hooked this bad boy up and before i could reach the instructions to see what needed to be installed ,there was a flash and there you have it. I finally got my wife set up with an extended monitor. Literally plug and play, wanna thank the sellers on here that actually sell quality stuff, makes life so much nicer. 🤙🖖

Do buy any cheaper options, they are worthless
Works right away with no driver downloads required on Windows 11. Worth the money.

Get what you pay for
So after trying several 10 dollar units that frankly did not work this one is truly plug and play. As many mentioned it does run very hot and started to cut out. I put a small CPU cooler on it and that seems to have fixed the overheating. If it lasts a year I'll be happy. Nice to have 3 monitors running on a modern notebook.

Worked when several other connectors didn't
Tried several other hdmi to use connectors and none of them worked -laptop didn't see the monitor. This one worked immediately. Easy to connect. It gets warm when using for a while. I sometimes need to unplug and reconnect when I restart laptop, but I can deal with that. So happy to be able to connect an additional monitor finally!

Did its thing right out of the gate
I don't know what kind of magical mojo is happening in this device, but as soon as I plugged it in (to a USB hub), instant third monitor... I didn't even notice the driver installation, it got in there so fast. Color me impressed!

Works great! Until it doesn't...
I have two of these. One I bought one years back (JUA195, bottom in image): had issues with it constantly until they came out with a newer driver, disconnecting all the time and wrong resolution. Not knocking stars for this part. Bought another one (JUA254, top in image) last year Dec '22 since it appeared all the issues was fixed as I needed another for an additional monitor (new PC setup). Bad idea. Everything was great with no issues... until now. The monitors these were connected to both lagged horribly to the point of almost frozen, so I unplugged them to troubleshoot, and they just stopped working. Knocking a star down for 6 months and having issues already. Updated the driver as there was an update available (they both use the same driver FYI), restarted my PC, still not working. Knocking another star for bricking. Everything I do won't get them to work, so they are paperweights now. Nothing else broke or had issues, but these. Sending them in for warranty? Not worth the cost (you pay for shipping them out, each) or the hassle. Considering past experience with the previous model and now both are having the same issue at the same time probably due to a faulty driver, again? I'm not happy. Knocking another star for reliability. Oh, and on top of that, they are now $10 more in price than 6 months ago?? WOW (BTW, Walmart has them still had the cheaper price if you insist on buying these). The price before was steep, now it's REALLY steep (much cheaper to just buy a USB-C to USB adapter and get a HDMI to USB-C adapter and combo it). Knocking another star for high price point considering the issues. Nope, not buying this again. Trying another brand where it's only $10 and even has better reviews.

Used to add another screen to my new HP computer that came with ONE HDMI port! (should have checked!). Plugged it in and connected to the screen and the PC found it straight away. Working fine.
