is this screen like oem

It does work just like the oem screen did on my sons phone. It was surprisingly easy to replace. My 15 yo son replaced his screen in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend it.

Yes, it's ready to install, you just have to move over the speaker and camera

Do I just pull my old screen off and put the new one on? Does it come with a replacement screen or just the tools?

You need to transfer the home button and speaker/camera assembly from old screen. After that you just put the new one on, yes

Does it include the proximity sensor?

Nope. Gotta be careful when you transplant it too, or you'll tear that flex.

I did it!

I did it! I like to fix things but have always had bad luck trying to fix computers and phones. My phone was two years old, so worst case I would just throw it away if I messed something up. I follow the YouTube video and replay each step a few times. I had trouble with the home screen not working at first. I took it apart a few times to check the screws and verify everything was in place. Finally it all works correctly! Take your time and be gentle.

Top mot responsive to touch

The screen is not responsive when I click something near the top. For example if I want to click the back button in Amazon or switch from FB to messenger, I have to push several times and I have to push hard in order for the screen to detect my finger. It’s like there’s weak spots. Not completely dead but not as responsive to touch as screens should be.
