Proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g. engine oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluids
Requires heat for disassembly
Application: 1. Clean all surfaces. 2. Use primer/activator for inactive substrate, large gap filling or low temperature cure. 3. Shake well before use. 4. Apply sufficient product onto the bolts at the nut engagement area. 5. Assemble and tighten as required. 6. Product cures in absence of air and presence of metal. 7. For porosity sealing, clean area and apply localized heat to the area to approximately 121 O C. Allow to cool to approximately 85O C and apply the product.

OCTITE 290 is a liquid medium/high-strength threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Because of its low viscosity and capillary action, the product wicks between engaged threads and eliminates the need for disassembly prior to application. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. The product can also fill porosities in welds, castings and powdered metal parts.StorageStore in original containers at 8-210 C (46.4-69.8O F) and do not return residual materials to containers as contamination may reduce the shelf life of the bulk product.Warning Always read material safety data sheet and technical data sheet before using the product. Keep away from children.Please Note: The Volume in the bottle/tube is as described, but company has increased the size of the bottles then the normal for some safety norms during the shipment.
