Best notebook ever
This is my favorite notebook, period. I am obsessed with notebooks and have tried them all. Whitelines succeeds in offering a high quality grid paper with unobtrusive lines. The closest competitor I can think of is the Roaring Spring Buff Engineering Pad, but to me that serves a different purpose (it is interesting to note that this version of Whitelines is also made by Roaring Spring). The engineering pad is better for working on problem sets. The Leuchtturm1917 notebooks are comparable, but those are way more expensive and the covers are much heavier than they need to be. They feel a bit too precious, like whatever I write in them needs to be of utmost importance. This notebook is great for sketching out ideas, doing research, working on technical and creative things that requires some level of permanence. But at the same time, it's not so nice that I feel bad about doodling stuff that will be trashed later. The paper weight is just right. Ink flows nicely, and isn't visible from the opposite side so both front and back pages are completely usable. I have used Whitelines for years, with their A4 squared notebook. I was quite fond of that notebook, and was disappointed when it seemed they were slowly being discontinued. This notebook was a pleasant surprise, and even better, it improves on the original in several ways. First, it's standard letter size (including the binding... it will be smaller when you tear it off), which is great for those of us in the USA. Second, the backing is a lightweight cardboard, which makes it easier to write on the pad while freestanding; the previous versions were too flexible. And finally it is compatible with the Whitelines Link app, which may or may not be useful for you. My only complaint is that the Link markings take up some space on the corners of the page. There could've been more usable space. And the grid doesn't flow all the way to the edge. There's a margin, but I suppose it just helps to keep the page more tidy. Not a big deal... you could just write over the Link markers since they're so unobtrusive. Love this notebook, I just hope that they don't discontinue it. Might have to stock up.

Expensive, but well worth it if you don't like grid lines that are darker than your writing
It's expensive for graph paper, yes, but it's not just any graph paper. I find that when I use pencil on regular graph paper, the grid lines are far darker and more obvious than my writing. It's distracting while I'm working, and it's distracting when looking at the final product. Whitelines paper, with its gentle white-on-gray look, allows me to keep text and equations aligned while still being able to sketch out nice-looking tables and graphs as needed. It's closer to writing on a blank sheet of paper, but with handy guidelines available if you need them. The funny part is that I almost never use the app for scanning it; I don't buy it for the Link feature/app, although it is certainly convenient when I just want to snap a photo and send it off. And don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it to be cheaper, but I've never found anyone who manufactures paper quite like this. They used to make PDFs available so you could print your own, but sadly those are no longer available. (Still, given how much toner costs, I suspect that this is -still- cheaper than trying to print your own!) Hands-down, it's my favorite engineering pad.

Very helpful
I didn’t use the feature for uploading the images without lines However, I live these notebooks because the lines are not so intrusive. It really makes your writing pop, while still allowing for structure (I can’t write straight without lines).

Love but...
Honestly was really excited about ordering when I first found out about the company. I did my thorough research and read many many reviews to investigate whether or not this notebook would really satisfy the expectations. I am currently a high school junior and I ordered 2 of the white lines notebooks at the beginning of the school year and tested it throughout. Immediately when I received them, I loved the design and quality of the paper. The cover was incredibly cute but not durable since I didn't expect it to be cardboard. A plastic cover would've lasted longer and protected the notes better. The paper itself is very good quality and nice for project and such. It's actually a slightly grey color with white lines over it, which didn't bother me much. I prefer graph paper, but the A4 grids were a bit too small for me so I would suggest getting a bigger grid size. After using them for a whole year, I diverted to using regular grid five star loose-leaf because it was something that was easily accessible and felt more smoother to write on. I only really used the paper for projects but not longterm for note-taking. Although I do appreciate the aesthetics of it, I felt too pressured to do all the cute calligraphy and making sure that my notes were pleasing to the eyes instead of focusing on the actual notes. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for cool Instagram study blog pictures but not for every day in class use.

Love it!
I love my old Whitelines pad. It's really great for taking notes and doodling. And wonderful for practicing calligraphy. I love the grey background - easy on the eyes. I had found that the background really fades out if I took a photo of what I've drawn. Now, with the app, it's fantastic! Works SO well. I'm quite impressed. I've been making personalized cards for friends and designs to color and it's wonderful to draw the whole thing out, snap a pic, and then get a nice clean line drawing! My only complaint is that I preferred the original pad with the spiral binding at the top - it was much better for drawing. I wish there was more choice! But I love these new pads with the app so much that I won't take a star away. Another issue is that the paper is not that good for fountain pens as they tend to feather quite a bit, but with the app, I can print out my designs on better paper.I am so afraid that these will be discontinued because so few people seem to know about them. Roaring Springs needs to advertise this great product!

PERFECT FOR NEATER NOTES!
If you are wanting to make your notes more neat and actually understandable then this is the notebook for you! At first I was a bit hesitant since it seemed kind of pricey for one notebook but WOW was it worth it! I just took Organic Chemistry this summer and this notebook was the only thing I used to take notes! It works! The lines are smaller than college ruled which may seem intimidating at first but it helps you write more per page, thus leading to the usage of less pages. I didn’t try the scanning option but the instructions come in the inside of the first page. I had a classmate who had this same notebook and she would scan her notes often; it works just as advertised. The grey page and white lines help you read easier since it’s not as distracting as a blue line. It seems like you are writing on a white page with lines. I highly recommend it to anyone who has to take notes, in fact I currently have two more in my shopping cart for this upcoming semester. It is the BEST notebook I have ever used! BUY IT!!

The Beautifully Written Word Using This Paper
I used it to write an entire letter in calligraphy. It turned out beautifully. The recipients were so grateful to receive it. I loved how it enabled me to keep beautifully straight written lines with beautiful lettering. I will forever keep this product for that purpose.

ADD med student approved.
I'll keep this short but I have always struggled to stick to ONE notebook because i'm super picky and was going back and forth between that traditional notebook lined paper that I hate, blank white printer paper that I always lost and an ipad/apple pencil notes which I didn't end up liking as much as paper. I don't even use the app, but this is the only notebook i've actually stuck to and used every page of. The lines are faint enough so that they guide you to write straight but aren't distracting and you can read back your notes as easily and clearly as a blank sheet of paper. I don't know how to describe the issue I have with traditional lined or graph paper to someone who doesn't have a problem using it, but If you have ADHD and find the dark lined paper distracting, or if you're a med student who needs to re-read your notes and make it easier to find stuff, OR if you're unfortunate enough to be both a med student who has ADD like me, then this notebook is for you.

Never Going Back To Regular Notebooks
These are simply great. The colour of the pages I find better than just white pages or the yellow legal. I do not scan every day or meeting but I like having the option to do so for integral meetings.

Increíble
La verdad escribir en estos cuadernos es increible porque gracias al color de las paginas se nota de manera super padre lo que escribes. Lo unico malo es que la portada es muy delgada y se puede dañar muy facil el cuaderno

Fantastic
Love these notebooks! I wouldn’t be without them, I find them so useful for studying. You don’t have to worry about writing or drawing over the lines. They give a guide but they disappear when you take the photo. I also find it much easier on my eyes than black lines on white paper. They are quite expensive but worth the money in my opinion.
