This is the perfect size to use with a large harvest right freeze dryer. The problem with most other scoops is that they have a gap on the left and right sides that allow powder and other small things like corn and green peas to fall out when you are putting scooping them to put in a mylar bag. This scope prevents stuff from falling out since the left and right sides are solid.

Can't say whether or not it's good for hot things like fresh fries, but it's perfect for soil and gravel. Cleans easy.

Handy for packaging into bags without a funnel from medium sized Harvest Right freeze dryer pans. Thin and hollow, thus breakable.

The handle starts to crack, I’ve bought at least 3 the last couple years. But other than that it’s easy to clean and scope fries.

I got this to pack corn into my vacuum sealed bags to freeze. It is AWESOME! The right size to place into a pint size ( and larger size bags vacuum or zippy too) bags while keeping the internal sealing area of the bags dry and free of debris. It has no sharp edges that would cut or mar the bags like a metal one does. Making your work more efficient time wise and easier to bag 150 ears work of corn kernels without any glitches. I fill a Lot of bags with dry goods and freeze dried foods... This thing is Great quality and has made filling those bags SO much easier! Great buy and it will last many years!

This tool works good to fill larger food bags and it is easy to clean. It is too big for my purposes so I'll find a smaller one. Overall this tool is really good.

Less than a month, handle are already broken.
