So how does it work? No description of how to actually use it, no picture of a chainsaw actually cutting wood

After I spent a bunch of time and dug into reviews, this will NOT do what you ask. Basically this is a LEVELING guide, meant to be used together with an actual cutting jig. If I have this correct. The seller would be ADVISED to clarify the description and capabilities because people will think this is a $25 alternative to the $100 jigs (it's not), and set themselves up for a bunch of negative reviews...

Could you make them we’re there adjustable for width and length.

Does this item come in a model that will accommodate 4' logs?

The Brackets can be attached to any size logs. You are only ordering the brackets so you can attach any size 2x4s you want making it a very flexible system. Just keep in mind to find straight 2x4s so your first cut is straight.

What is the gauge or thickness of the bracket?

Appears to be right at or a tiny bit less than ⅛". I have used these several times with very little issues.
