Ultimate PCOS Handbook: Lose Weight, Boost Fertility, Clear Skin and Restore Self-Esteem

I originally purchased this book for myself and have now also purchased it as a Christmas gift who also struggles with PCOS and its symptoms. This book is completely comprehensive and answered all of the questions I had. It also is very sensitive when addressing the different symptoms, which can often be difficult on one's self-esteem and affect all areas of one's life. The only complaint I might have is that it's a thick book and if you are trying to find an easy answer or a quick list, you have to do a bit of digging to get what you're looking for. If you have PCOS, this book is a necessity.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1999, before any valuable information about the condition was available. Thanks to The Ultimate PCOS Handbook, I was able to learn about PCOS and its symptoms and discovered many ways to manage the condition and reduce the symptoms or rid my body of them entirely.It's hard to hear that weight loss is often the best solution to the problem, but now that I realize how important it is, I'm willing to focus on that goal and make the changes necessary.I've often felt alone when dealing with PCOS, but this book helped me to realize thousands of other women have experienced and continue to deal with condition as well.

Being recently diagnosed with PCOS, this book was a great guide for navigating my physical and mental health. Some of the information is a little of date as research constantly changes but it was great to have tips, strategies and encouragement right at my fingertips. It really helped me understand this disease and how to be as healthy as I can be with it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with PCOS!

I was told that I had PCOS because my cycle was simply "irregular" & I was on a car accident that almost took my life & my cycles changed even more, didn't have a menstrual cycle for years! I got this book which names ALL my symptoms which then made me go get PROPER testing & was officially diagnosis ed with PCOS! THiS BOOK WAS GREAT & FULL OF HELPFUL INFORMATION!

Love this book. If you have Pcos it’s a very good read

I was diagnosed with PCOS this year (2010) and my doctor really didn't tell me much about what PCOS was. I found this book and read it and it gave a lot of details into symptoms and stories of women living with PCOS. I enjoyed the stories since it helped me to realize I wasn't alone with this.

Having PCOS I found that this book was excellent. The information was very well researched and had countless helpful tips on how to deal with PCOS starting with nutrition and working out and it even dealt with fertility and menopause issues. It is a must for women with PCOS. My father is a doctor who deals with PCOS patients and after I recommended this book to him he read it and now refers it to all his patients with PCOS!

I was diagnosed with PCOS and had no idea where to start. This book helped a lot with learning about my condition and what I could do to lose weight and improve symptoms. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has PCOS or knows someone with it.

Very informative and explains everything well. As you read every question that comes to mind is right on the next page and answered. There aren’t many books you can find that in that do it so satisfactorily.

Very informative book...but I did find a few typos in the text. I don't mind as I paid $10 less than I would if I bought it in store, and there is nothing too serious to where I can't understand what it says. Not sure if that it was at a discounted price. But other than that, I'm happy with it.

This book is very helpful. It is broken down for the lay-person to understand. Helped me understand my body and how it acts/reacts. Produced obvious results from following plans in the book. Really pleased. I enjoyed the format of the book as well as the size. It is not a textbook size book but larger than a paperback, was the perfect size for a handbook/workbook!

The language used thought seems like it would be more for someone who has done lots of research. It is also very outdated as many of the studies they talk about are from the early 2000s

Already through the first chapter and looking forward to finishing the book. Very helpful information and interesting health connections between symptoms.
