Why are the 12-pack aa holders by storacell, shipped and sold by amazon still only 3.95, but the same in aaa is now 12.95...?

Well, as one is for AA and the other is for AAA I think the difference is obvious. (??) As I have found, even the Color of the caddy has an impact on the price. In which country it is made / manufactured in?

Do not know, but I would buy them again. Very handy to carry my batteries for my photography.

Will the batteries fit if I put a sticker on them?

I tried putting a sticker on a AA, slide it in the container and the sticker ripped, however when I slid the AA in again, it didn't rip more. The batteries fit snug in the holders which is what I wanted. Hope this helps.

Can batteries be put into the caddy in either direction? In other words, can you put dead batteries in the caddy upside down to differentiate them?

The caddy is 100% non-conductive and separates each battery thereby allowing you to insert the batteries in any direction at the same time. However, cleverness can make me a liar. Don't go attaching paperclips or the like to complete a conductive path.
