I needed a new poop bag holder and after looking around, took a punt on one of the Earth Rated brand ones from Amazon as it was on a flash sale at less than £5. I like the quality so much I bought a second. The plastic is thick and feels durable. There's a hook on the back for poop bags. The way the dispenser comes apart makes installing the bags easy as there's a vertical slit rather than a hole to try and push the bags through. The dispenser provides more resistance than the usual round holes so you don't end up pulling through more than one bag. Each one came with 15 bags, and it looks like it will hold any brand of bag if Earth Rated isn't your usual preference. The packaging is pretty much just cardboard. The product itself and bags are also made from at least 65% recycled plastic. I'm happy with my purchases and would highly recommend them.

I’ve been using these poo bags for years and love that i can buy them in bulk at a very reasonable cost. The box of 900 bags also comes with a free dispenser, which is a nice extra. Personally, I don’t use the dispenser on dog walks — I have it hooked onto the fence so the bags are always to hand when cleaning up in the garden. I usually have a roll in the pocket of one of my coats, in the car or in a handbag, so they’re always easy to grab when needed. The bags themselves are strong and thick, and i’ve never had one split (thankfully). They’re more than sturdy enough for cleaning up after a chocolate labrador. The lavender scent helps mask smells without being overpowering, which i really appreciate. My dog turns 10 in February 2025 and we’ve used these bags throughout her life. Reliable, good quality and great value — an easy five-star recommendation.

The bags themselves are large, strong and after using nearly all of a 900 bag order I've not had one bag that was torn or defective (just about to order another 900). As for the dispenser, we're on our third. I haven't had it fall apart on a walk or the strap break but I have had another member of the family refill it and manage to permanently seal it closed.....twice. This isn't a design fault but user error. After getting the family member to demonstrate what they did I discovered they were twisting it the wrong way on closure. After showing them the correct way (and added a black mark with a sharpie) it hasn't happened again. It's easy to refill (the trickiest part is getting the sticker off the full roll of bags that stops it unravelling) and the small warning sticker when there are only 3 bags left can be handy (though a quick twist to open and check before going out is easy enough). I can understand why someone with severe joint or grip issues may have a problem but the same family member who sealed it closed (twice...seriously, how do you do it twice?!??!) has quite bad arthritis and has no problems.

In the last 2 years, Earth Rated have changed the design of their bag dispenser twice and each time for the better. This latest version (Nov 23) is by far its best yet. TLDR: Love the dispenser. Bags are great. Would recommend for any dog owner. OVERALL DISPENSER DESIGN: The overall look is slick and feels higher quality than its predecessors. It’s sturdy with its new silicone strap and doesn’t hang as low as it did on the old Velcro strap. They’ve also added a visual aid so you know the dispenser is actually locked and closed; the indented line on the base should sit in line with the dispenser slot. DISPENSER SLOT: The slot dispenser design is such a level up from previous versions. There’s no need to scratch around for the bag end or have the bag hanging out flapping all over the place. You can simply have a little bit poking out and it sits snug there as the slot isn’t oversized. No more taking it apart to roll the bags back in! Win! USED BAG CLIP: Like previous versions, the latest version has a used bag clip on the back to hang any filled bags without you having to hold them which is one of my absolute favourite features of the Earth Rated holders. POOP BAGS FOR DAYS: 900 good quality bags, easy to handle and use. The lavender scent is there but faint and not overpowering which is great in my opinion. I’ve seen some reviews talking about the new bag quality and while they are more transparent than previous versions, they’re not see through and I personally haven’t seen any change to the bags quality or effectiveness as a result of this. They’re strong, durable bags. I have a 27kg StaffyX who’s the size of a Labrador and her output is girthy, these bags have had no problems dealing with that. I have longish nails and they’ve never ripped while I’ve been handling or tying.

Ok bags but I’ve had a few rip which is annoying

I’ve tried a few different brands over the years, but these Earth Rated waste bags are easily the best I’ve come across. Each bag is generously sized, which makes clean-up hassle-free—even for larger dogs. There’s plenty of space to tie a secure knot without worrying about overflow. The material is thick and durable; I’ve never had a single tear or leak, which gives me real peace of mind during walks. Although they’re not designed for wiping, they hold up surprisingly well if you need to clean around the area—the texture feels strong and dependable. The lavender scent is genuinely lovely. It’s fresh without being overpowering, and it does a great job of neutralising unpleasant odours during pick-up. Given the overall quality and the fact they’re made from 65% post-consumer recycled plastic, they feel like a thoughtful, eco-conscious choice. I also appreciate the vibrant green colour, it’s easy to spot in a bag or coat pocket, and the bold branding gives them a premium feel. Overall, these bags are practical, pleasantly scented, and kind to the planet. I won’t be switching anytime soon!

Always buy these poo bags but normally get the small box but decided on the 900 bags with poo bag holder as now have guide dog so these will last. These are the best poo bags a have ever used and they don’t leak and nice and thick and excellent scent to them, the bags always rip easy of the roll and doesn’t break, excellent value with a subscription and discount and will continue to buy. Highly recommend

I love this poo bag holder. It’s very well made & holds a whole roll of bags. Easy to put the new roll in & the bags are dispensed easily & are easy to tear off. Very easy to attach to the lead handle. Highly recommended
