It is made by Zhouhuchen, the brand "tiger" is a very famous one in China. Zhouhuchen has a history began at 1694, over 300 years now. They made many nice brushes for famous artist in China.

The body of the brush can be made from either bamboo, or rarer materials like red sandalwood, glass, ivory, silver, and gold. The head of the brush can be made from the hair (or feather) of a wide variety of animals, including the wolf, rabbit, deer, chicken, duck, goat, pig, tiger, etc.

Tiger Roars

I paint Chinese ink paintings. This (short) brush is one of the best in my collection (I'm also a brush junkie), seriously, one of the best. Period. Its combination of stiff and soft is just what I reach for, and it's a big brush 1.4cm, does whatever I want.
