How exactly do you hook the resistance bands to your door?

There will be a strap with a small foam cylinder in the kit. You will use this to wedge into a closed door that will provide you with an anchor point to attach the resistance bands. I added a video demonstrating how this is done.

Can you attach to home gym hooks for exercises?

yes you can! Excellent set! I am using it at home and so far I am very pleased.

Can you place the anchor on the bottom or side of the door?

I have mine anchored above the door hinge. Works fine.

Can this be used for tree climbing as bungee cord?

I would not recommend that application for these bands. They could be subject to fraying.
