Can it be usee on old coconuts one gets in the store?

I haven't tried to open an older nut with it, because I don't think it will work that way. The shell of an older nut is way too hard. I throw my old coconuts at a brick wall and they break into pieces making the flesh easy to remove..lol Hope this response s helpful!

I absolutely love this tool!

This was money well spent. It's now so easy to open a coconut for it's water and flesh. The opening is 2.5" wide which makes it wide enough to scoop out the flesh easily. Can I repeat 'I love it' cause I really do.I highly recommend this item!
