However I would not recommend this for nonprofessional hair scissors

The lack of instructions for use in English was frustrating. However, my son-in-law came for a visit and he is fluently versed in Chinese. He explained to my husband what the instructions were saying. He also found a YouTube video that demonstrated how to use the knife sharpener for knives and scissors. The sharpener worked very well for ordinary work scissors. However I would not recommend this for nonprofessional hair scissors. Two pair of hair scissors were ruined for cutting anything other than paper.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

The ceramic is poorly made; has rough uneven edges which makes me concerned for my knife blades. Hard to use: sorta sharpened my scissors and serrated edge knives, which is what I bought this for, scissor and serrated edge sharpening.
