Lasted about a week before the wire frayed.
The wire is absolute garbage, it lasted a week outside under an awning before it frayed and shorted.

The only problem I have with these lights, they do not hold their settings. The lights are on a timer and I have to go out and reset them each night.

All indications are that the lights can be used outdoors. After a rainy night, the lights fail. No instructions as to the care of the controller in regards to damp environment.
