i ordered this before i realized i needed a new hard drive. am i right in thinking this won't help me?

Does it work for instalation of new windows?

No. This disc doesn't include a product key, and won't perform a new installation of Windows 10. Your computer must already have Windows 10. All this disc does is repair/resinstall an existing Windows 10 operating system.

Can it work for windows 7?

Haven't tried it for Windows 7. The disc says it's for Windows 10 and it works great for Windows 10! I wouldn't buy this for Windows 7.
