I love this band.. I place the pressure portion on my painful area to left of knee, works so well.. No pain at this time ..I wear it to bed ,it's amazing..on a bad day I can wear it all day with no issues and u can't tell ur wearing it..

I've dealt with IT Band Syndrome for a year since injuring my knee 7 miles in to a half marathon that I finished anyway. I ran the same race 2 weeks ago and my knee went out again near the end. I finished again and haven't stopped to let it heal because I had a 5K today. I've been nervous because it hurts must of the time and buckles occasionally. I put on the Vive IT Band strap that I got yesterday before the race, tightened it as much as I comfortably could, and ran the entire race without one single minute of knee pain!! It honestly stopped my pain and stabilized my knee. I was ecstatic. In fact, the band works so well and is so comfortable that I've kept it on all day. And I just ordered a second band to have a spare. I wore mine above my knee while wearing the standard running capris (slicker stretchy light compression type). It didn't slip or cause any discomfort at all. It has a rectangle pad to provide the pressure point on the IT Band in the leg and a stretchy soft rubbery cushioned strap that loops through a ring to fasten with Velcro. It will adjust to a lot of leg sizes with the length of the strap. I can't speak for long term quality yet but it seems well made.

I bought these IT band straps to help with outside knee pain from running, and they’ve made a noticeable difference. The compression hits right where it’s needed and helps reduce discomfort during workouts and longer walks. I especially like that it comes in a 2-pack, so I can keep one in my gym bag and one at home. The neoprene material feels sturdy but still comfortable against the skin, and the adjustable Velcro makes it easy to customize the tightness. Once positioned correctly, it stays in place pretty well without sliding around too much. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can take a little trial and error to find the perfect placement, and if worn too tight it can feel a bit bulky under leggings. But overall, it provides solid support and good value for the price. If you’re dealing with IT band syndrome or lateral knee pain, this is definitely worth trying before moving on to more expensive options.

Instant IT band relief when using this product. Quality is durable, it is easy to place and functional. Would recommend if you have IT band pain when walking or running.

It works. I really thought my hiking career was over after I started having my outside of the knee pain while coming downhill which got progressively worse where I was limping for a day or two after each hike. I used compression sleeves and other stuff but my ITB kept coming back. With little hope/expectations I purchased this and took it on a long hike, and I was good and was surprised at the difference it made. Since then this has been my must have piece of equipment on every hike and so far so good. I actually summited Mt. Whitney earlier this week (in a day) and back without any issues and thought it would be a good time to write this review.

This knee band is extremely long, as if made to fit an obscurely wide range of sizes. This band also strangely has elasticity, and to tighten it around my knee the slack alone wraps almost a whole time around my leg. This makes the strap cumbersome and the elasticity makes it very difficult to tighten the band without stretching and eventually tearing it. Mine tore within a month of use. Not a great band, do not recommend. Update 2 months later and the band has nearly disintegrated, it has at least 7 major tears in the elastic side of the band. This is by far the WORST compression band I have ever purchased. If I could give it a 0 star, I would. Do yourself a favor if you've tried this band with similar experiences, buy a McDavids compression band. You will never go back.

I would have liked to give this item 5 stars, as I was previously having knee pain caused by my IT band when running. My physical therapist recommended using an IT compression band. The very first time I used this band, I took other users' advice and wrapped it fairly tightly around my leg. I had no pain during my run, which I was very happy about. However, upon finishing my run and removing the band, I noticed that it had split in two places. It was the very first time I used it, and I only ran 1.5 miles - about a 15 minute run. I'm attaching a photo to show where the band tore. From everything I've read about these bands, I've watched videos and read articles about how to use them, they are supposed to be wrapped fairly tightly around the leg. I definitely didn't wrap it too tightly, so there shouldn't have been a reason for this product to malfunction. I am disappointed at the quality of the band, although now I know that this style of band does help. I am returning this particular brand and buying from another brand.

Comfortable and easy to use and helped my IT band and I like the variable compression devices that come with it.

This product allowed me to run at moderate pace comfortably without the sharp pain of the it band. However this is not the end all be all product. You have to address the main issue why your it band is giving you problem. It could be a tight hamstring/glutes/hip or mobility issue. Address those issues first then use this product to go along with your recovery.

Absolutely amazing. Was getting severe ITB pain at 2km, but I just did a 5km today with zero pain at all.

I have started using the ITB strap by Vive for my ITB syndrome. It works like a dream - totally pain free when I use the strap and allows me to train without any issues.
