Clear to read and understand, leather cover . Beautiful pictures Review: A little Catholic Bible, with a lot to offer (and at great value!) - This has been my main Bible ever since I bought it. This Bible truly shines as a "jack-of-all-trades" Bible; it has great scholarly commentary and notes, nice illustrations to help visualize moments in Scripture, helpful study features, great maps that are placed accordingly throughout, includes the mysteries of the Holy Rosary and Stations of the Cross for devotions, and more. It's also constructed very well and doesn't feel cheap, the pages are a little thin but not too thin and there is barely any bleed-through (it's almost nonexistent). The NCB translation is also very solid in my opinion, and definitely leans more towards a thought-for-thought (dynamic equivalent) translation philosophy. And to top it all off, it's only around 45 dollars listed price. A Bible of this value for us Catholics is amazing. The only negative I can say about this Bible is that it only has one ribbon, and kind of a crappy one at that, but that's a minor gripe I have. Overall, this Bible is my go-to recommendation for anyone who not only wants to read and study Scripture, but also to pray Scripture. It's a great bible to gift someone who is a new convert to the Church, or to anyone in the Church really. I'm absolutely in love with this little Bible and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Beautiful Bible
I've got quite a few different versions of the bible, but this is probably one of my favourites , it's a lot easier to read than most . This bible also contains so much more and is a beautiful presentation.

Very nice edition of the Catholic Bible
This Bible is constructed of very high quality paper. The covers are simulated leather and are quite nice. This Bible has many maps, photographs, and illustrations as well as copious amounts of references. I am not qualified to criticize the accuracy or reliability of the translation, but it seems pretty good to me. I have read that the translators have refrained from attempts to modernize the scriptures with inclusive language. So far, I have not seen anything that I would consider offensive to traditionally minded readers. I say this as being a big fan of the Douay Rheims version of the Catholic Bible. The book is a bit heavy. The print is a decent size but not to be considered as large print. I love that the words of Christ are in red. All in all, a nice addition to anyones Bible collection. I highly recommend it.
