Will these fit a size 8-8.5 (American) women's shoe?

Hi Linda, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this size, medium, is designed to fit an 8-8.5 women's shoe.

Are these good for running? (on a mix of icy pavements and bare pavements)

I must have returned them because I don't have them now. As I recall I couldn't put them on. Frankly, I would not run on icy pavements. Falls can be hard to get over.
