The Phonetic Eyewear Bravo frame is a pair of ready-made computer glasses designed to reduce digital eyestrain and fatigue caused by viewing digital computer screens and/or working in artificially lit office environments. According to a study by the Vision Council of America, nearly 70% of adults experience some form of digital eye strain due to prolonged use of computer devices. One of the causes of digital eyestrain is the excessive violet/blue light emitted by digital devices and today's fluorescent lighting. The lenses used by Phonetic Eyewear have a proprietary coating that deflects a portion of the violet/blue light thereby reducing eyestrain. Wearers notice a reduction in glare and an improvement in visual contrast. Phonetic Eyewear lenses are prescription quality and made from a 1.56 index lens material and block 99.9% of UV light. Other computer eyewear makes use of either yellow or amber tinted lenses that absorb blue light while Phonetic's technology actually deflects the blue light off the front of the lens.
