Will oversized sunglasses fit into this well?

No, This is one reason I returned this product. That and the dividers are weak, with a overall poor quality

Will zippo lighters fit. There 2.25 high

Hello, Although the case was designed primarily for sunglasses, Zippo lighters that are 2.25" high should fit as well. Best regards.

Are the dividers inside removable ?

No the dividers are I next under a layer of fabric. They don't come out or adjust in size

Can I leave the cover open and put the case within a drawer?

I think this case would be too big to fit into a drawer. I personally leave mine on top of my dresser, open or close, & it works fine for me that way.
