As a speech-language pathologist, feeding therapist and author on topics such as getting kids in the kitchen and healthy snacking...THIS IS MY GO-TO!!! I recommend this resource to parents and grandparents and aunts and just about everyone! I love that it is science-based, and skill-based (since I see patients with feeding disorders). It is well-organized and has a plethora of stellar information. I also love that it does not discount the importance of puree solids on the feeding journey as a way to explore new tastes. I am thankful to have such a fantastic resource to share with others in my community. This would also make a great baby shower gift--I just bought another copy!

A must read!
This book is excellent and a must read for parents of little ones. It can be so confusing know what and when to feed your baby and this gives step by step guidelines for feeding. So much useful information and really emphasizes the importance of healthy eating in the first years for a lifetime of healthy eating. Highly recommend!

I have recommended this book countless times to new moms. I love that her advice is relatable and evidence based, and she addresses current feeding trends (baby led weaning & babyfood / snack pouches) in a gentle way that also provides developmentally appropriate information.

Reading this gave me the confidence to try baby self-feeding on my 7 month-old. He really wasn't into purees and this gave us a lot of other options.

A "Must Have" for every parent
This book does a wonderful job explaining the importance of appropriate steps and stages of feeding development. It's easy to understand and includes strategies, recipes and a wealth of other information. With all the new eating gadgets, spill proof cups and bowls, this book is a must have for every parent.

Perfect balance
This book explains how to perfectly balance purees and solids. If you are "in between" purees and baby led weaning, this book is perfect. With that said, it was very redundant so I skimmed the who book in about 30 minutes rather than reading it cover to cover.
