Meat Thermometer-Instant Read Thermometer-Foldable Probe Grill Thermometer

The probe feels very cheap and bulky in the hand. It has a very poor ergonomic design. The temperature on my unit was 4 degrees higher at 145 than it was on 2 of my other units. This leads me to believe the unit is not calibrated correctly. I will trust it for burgers and dogs but for steak and BBQ i will use my other units. There are other thermometers out there in this price range that are more accurate and better quality than this one. The best feature of this unit is that when you close the probe it shuts off.Also the temperature chart that comes with the product is junk. None of the temperatures were accurate. Do yourself a favor and toss it out.I did receive this product on discount in return for my product review which in no shape way or form affects my honest opinion.

The packaged opened easily - a battery was included. Just a few seconds and this thermometer is ready to cook!Although the front of the thermometer shows on-off, the thermometer does not turn on until the probe is extended. Nice to know that I won't be using battery in the drawer. :)The battery slips into the compartment easily.It took a little effort to pull out the probe. Maybe I will need to slip a knife or something else slim to push the probe out. It sits tight against the handle.The buttons on the face of the thermometer are small, but easy to use. It was not difficult to choose Fahrenheit or Celsius.The top button allows you to "hold" the temperature in the readout. If you insert the probe into meat, press hold, and withdraw the probe, the readout remains the same. (Otherwise, the probe will drop to room temp.) The thermometer can be turned off by closing it or by pushing the on-off button.This thermometer is lightweight and easy to operate. The numbers on the readout are bright and large enough to read,I received this thermometer at a discount and was asked to leave an honest review. I highly recommend this item.

I’ve been using a thermometer for meats for several years. With this thermometer, I am certain that I’m not under- or over-cooking meats on the grill or in the oven.In addition, I make all the bread we use in this house. By using the long probe on this thermometer, I can be certain that even the thickest bread has met the minimum temperature to be completely done. I no longer rely on time or thumping bread to determine doneness, and I am not stuck by the probe when it's in a drawer because it folds away in the body of the thermometer -- flat and safe!I am delighted with the speed and accuracy of this instrument. This digital thermometer it great! I have one that is not digital and it is such a hassle using. I'm always putting my face over my hot pan trying to read the temperature. This one is awesome because it can be read in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. It has a very large range measuring from -58 to 572 degrees Fahrenheit. The back of the package slides off so you can keep it in your kitchen drawer. It comes with step by step instruction on how to use the thermometer and also a BBQ temperature reference. I added a picture of the reference. It is VERY handy and useful when u have guest over that want their meat done differently that you usually do yours. You can make each piece of meat perfect with this thermometer! I recieved this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. I'm so glad my face doesn't have to be heated for leaning over my pan anymore! I'm sure this will last for a very long time by the way it's made. I'm very happy I got this product.
